Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and Mansfield Cleaning (“we”, “us”, “our”) for our home exterior cleaning services in the UK.

By booking our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Who we are

Mansfield Cleaning
Email: mansfieldcleaning@icloud.com
Tel: 07449 501449

2. Definitions

  • Services – any exterior cleaning work we agree to carry out, such as driveway, patio, roof, gutter and similar cleaning.

  • Booking – a confirmed appointment for us to provide services at your property.

  • Property – the address where the services will be carried out.

3. Bookings and quotes

3.1 You can request a quote by phone, email, our website or social media.
3.2 Quotes are usually based on the information you provide and/or a visit to your property.
3.3 Unless we state otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days.
3.4 A booking is confirmed only when we have agreed a date/time with you and you have accepted our quote (verbally, in writing or by paying a deposit, if requested).

4. Services and access

4.1 We will carry out the services with reasonable care and skill.
4.2 You must ensure we have safe and clear access to the areas to be cleaned, including:

  • Access to the property and any gates or locks

  • Access to an outdoor water supply and electricity, if needed
4.3 If we cannot safely access the property or the work area, we may refuse or stop the work and a call-out or cancellation fee may apply.

5. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Moving or protecting fragile items, garden furniture, plant pots and other belongings from the work area

  • Informing us of any known defects, damage or issues (e.g. loose pointing, cracked slabs, damaged gutters, leaking roofs)

  • Ensuring children and pets are kept away from the work area while we are working and until surfaces are dry and safe

  • Providing any necessary parking permits or covering parking costs where applicable

We are not responsible for damage to items left in the work area that you did not move or protect.

6. Pricing and payment

6.1 Prices will be set out in your quote or as otherwise agreed with you.
6.2 Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due on completion of the services.
6.3 We may ask for a deposit for larger jobs. Deposits are usually non-refundable once we have reserved the date and prepared for the work, except where we cancel (see section 7).
6.4 We accept the payment methods stated on our invoices or as agreed with you.
6.5 If payment is late, we may charge interest and/or fees in line with applicable UK law and our invoice terms.

7. Cancellations and rescheduling

7.1 If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible.
7.2 If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, we may charge a reasonable cancellation fee to cover our costs and lost time.
7.3 We may cancel or reschedule if:

  • Weather conditions make the work unsafe or ineffective

  • There are access or safety issues at the property

  • Staff illness or other events beyond our reasonable control occur

If we cancel, we will offer a new date where possible. If we cancel and you have paid a deposit, we will either transfer it to the new date or refund it if we cannot reasonably reschedule.

8. Condition of surfaces and results

8.1 We will always aim to achieve the best possible result, but we cannot guarantee that all stains, marks, algae or discolouration will be fully removed.
8.2 Some surfaces may already be damaged, worn or fragile. High-pressure or chemical cleaning may reveal existing defects or cause further deterioration. We will take reasonable care, but we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or defects

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Changes in appearance that are a natural result of cleaning (for example, colour variation once dirt is removed)

9. Liability

9.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
9.2 Subject to 9.1, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of profit, business, revenue or goodwill

  • Indirect or consequential loss or damage
9.3 Our total liability for any loss or damage arising from our services will not exceed the total price paid or payable for the specific job in question, unless the law requires otherwise.
9.4 You must tell us about any damage or issues as soon as reasonably possible and within 7 days of the work being completed, so we can investigate.

10. Guarantees

10.1 We do not offer a formal guarantee that surfaces will remain clean for a specific period, as this depends on weather, usage and other factors outside our control.
10.2 If you are unhappy with the quality of our work, please contact us within 7 days. Where reasonable, we will discuss options with you, which may include returning to address specific areas.

11. Complaints

11.1 If you have a complaint, please contact us using the details above, giving your name, contact details, property address and details of the issue.
11.2 We will aim to acknowledge your complaint promptly and work with you to find a fair solution.

12. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example, extreme weather, power cuts, accidents, road closures, illness, or equipment failure). We will try to minimise the impact and rearrange where possible.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website and will apply to new bookings from the date it is posted.

14. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
